Honestly it could be close but I think Whitebeard would probably win, then again Shiki has a lot more mobility than Whitebeard and being in the air might be a good counter to the quakes. Eh, maybe I'll go with Shiki. In verse I'd definitely say Whitebeard is supposed to be the stronger of the two.

Whitebeard has more praise amongst the veterans of the era, so he's likely significantly stronger. Shiki's DF won't help him, considering WB's abilities work fine in the air too.

1 0n 1.. WB will win with moderate trouble. If it's crew vs crew, I'm not sure.

I never got this... who was Roger's biggest rival? WB or Shiki?

I'm not 100%. Shiki was hyped to no end iirc and was made to sound like he was on that level. If I had to write it out, maybe:

Roger: 100
WB: 93-95
Shiki: 90-92

?

Yeah, I don't exactly remember episode 0, but iirc Shiki was the one who got the closest in defeating Roger. Can be wrong though.

Shiki could also fight on par with Prime Garp and Sengoku fighting together.

That was with his whole crew tho. It was Roger's single ship against Shiki's fleet. I'm pretty sure it was said that Roger "somehow" escaped. CC or others can correct me if I'm talking out of my ass.

Now that we've seen Big Mom's feats, I'm quite curious as to how insane Roger was.

I don't know. It looked like the seas were incredibly dangerous from the image given. We don't know what caused it though.. could just be New World weather.

As SS2 said, Shiki's main power to rival Roger was facing his one ship with an entire fleet, with Shiki only losing due to an unexpected storm damaging his fleet and sticking that steering wheel in his head. He was still a rival, having well against both Garp and Sengoku, as well as being recounted as one of the top tiers of the era by Sengoku during the Whitebeard War, though he never received as much attention as Whitebeard. It's also very telling that Sengoku knows Shiki is alive, yet still referred to Whitebeard as the world's strongest man.
