Your question makes me think you've never taken any form of proper training before. In boxing, you spar to hone your abilities for the actual fight. But you're not going all out. Sweating is just a cause of such training. However people like to take sparring out of context in order to power up the boys, it's just another form of bias.

Now the reason i ask is because of when frieza made a statement about only his parent(s) making him dust himself off before goku. Now that could only mean via fight right? surely they didnt actually get into a legitamate one (i mean if they did what would be the reason possibly?) though so would that mean they were sparring? does it go against frieza saying he has never trained?

It's like Broly being born with a power level of 10,000 and being stabbed by nothing more than an average soldier. Additionally, King Cold would likely be within the range of 90-100 million. He's definitely within the range of harming a fully powered Frieza.

Cold is close enough to Organic Frieza that he can damage him. Frieza is overly ambitious and could have easily made a mistake somewhere along the lines.
