Something I feel that's off.

Sometimes I really think that all of the Straw Hats having incredibly sad backstories is just ridiculous. Especially in Sanji's case but his backstory is so dark it actually becomes entertaining.

So I feel the need to ask all of you, do you think that all of the Straw Hats having dark backstories to be a bit too much?

I'd say that most fit their character, such as those of Nami, Robin and Brook, though the necessity for each Straw Hat to require someone dying in their past tragically seems to be a completely redundant idea in the long term, especially when with some characters (eg. Zoro) such is barely ever brought up much as a drive for their ambitions.

It's a great thing about one piece
