SSJ Goku was SSJ2 or against Aka?

After Cell Games, there is no clear visible difference between SSJ1 and SSJ2, so go with what makes most
sense power wise. I think he was SSJ2.

There is a very clear difference. There's even two panels side-by-side where Goku turns Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 to illustrate the differences.

We were talking about Goku, who is the easiest character to identify SSj2 with as he's the one whose hair remains consistently different between SSj and SSj2. Vegeta has no hair differences.

Then you're wrong, sorry to say. It's clear when Goku is in Super Saiyan 2 by his hair. His bangs are distinctly different. This is always consistent even in Toei works, save for the atrociously animated filler during the Majin Vegeta fight.

I just read YS manga where Aka is a weakling. I think i'll go by that. It makes more sense. And, yes, Goku can

He was always a weakling. Gotenks completely fooled with him.
