SSJ transformations

So SSJ, SSJ2 and SSJ3 transformation can be unlocked via rage or training?

It seemed the current theme for unlocking SSJ1 was through rage: Goku did it in Namek, Vegeta said he couldn't unlock it until he felt a great amount of rage towards his lack of success, and Goku said Gohan had to get angry to unlock it, saying just powering up won't do it. But we have Goten and Trunks, both whom don't seem to have obtained it via rage... unless they are an exception.

Gohan unlocked SSJ2 via rage, but as for Goku and Vegeta... maybe Vegeta felt a great amount of anger like he did when unlocking SSJ1, but the same can't be said about Goku... who doesn't appear to have gotten angry in his training in the Other World or have had to overcome some threat.

As for SSJ3... it also seems anger isn't necessarily a factor for it, since Goku unlocked it in the Other World (unless he got angry over there with something) and Gotenks could unlock it training in the RoSaT.

Why didn't he turn SSJ when banging Chi Chi then? Or when Vegeta banged Bulma... :shock:

SSJ forms require a minimum PL to achieve. Otherwise, Goku would've gone SSJ when Tambourine killed Krillin.
