Vegeta from Boo Arc and Cell when he fought Gohan after he increased his speed.

Spite thread.Vegeta is still weaker than Gohan (assuming this is pre majin vegeta) and Gohan and cell were about equal.Vegeta loses

Kid Gohan > Vegeta (Pre-Majin) in equal forms. Cell wins this fight.

Agreed with the two above. Real speed Cell and Gohan were pretty much equals (whether one is stronger is debatable), while Vegeta still fall a bit behind. It'd be more or less like Cell [suppressed] vs Goku MSSJ, maybe even less disputed since Vegeta doesn't have Shunkan Ido.

I think Vegeta should take this. There's more to Gohan's power other than Super Saiyan 2 in my book. Gohan brought out all of his power, that speaks more of Gohan's dormant potential than anything. Super Saiyan 2 was the means to express this power imo. Gohan's power against Cell is decently above what his plain old Super Saiyan 2 is.

There are tons of suggestions that Gohan gets a rage boost here, I'm just not ignoring them anymore.

Also, going by the feel of the story.

Super Saiyan Kid Gohan did not feel like a God. But Super Saiyan Vegeta and Goku in the Buu saga feel very, very powerful. Kid Gohan was decently above Goku at the Cell Game, but I wouldn't say monstrously so.

I dunno. If this same Cell arrived and challenged Boo saga Vegeta, I find it hard to believe that Vegeta wouldn't straight-up body him. Having this much trouble against a Cell that isn't even at full-power makes Vegeta's training seem pretty useless.

Vegeta wins. Cell increased his speed, his power is probably the same as when he fought Goku considering Gohan didn't give a shit about his attacks. Vegeta should manage.

It makes sense for Vegeta to be able to surpass Kid Gohan, but still not quite get past the full dormant enraged power.

This can lead to Vegeta being so confident, yet still cautious about making Gohan angry. If Angry Gohan is just his Ssj2, why would Vegeta worry?

I'm probably on the same boat as P, though I'd still say Cell takes this based on a far larger and more broken array of techniques, whereas Vegeta doesn't have anything Cell hasn't already seen to catch him off guard like Goku's Shunkan Ido Kamehameha did.
