What's your SSJ's multiplier? Did it change through the series? Decreased? Increased?

Whatever the plot needed it to be, soooo..... Variable?

Well, yeah. But I like to keep it as a constant 50x boost, though there's some evidences pointing to it being lessened.

I don't give it much thought since I outgrew that power level business years ago, but if I had to choose, I'd say I would keep the multiplier constant, and argue that it only seems less because Super Saiyan and it subsequent stages become increasingly irrelevant, making the boosts seem less drastic. SSJ2 is a huge power in the Cell arc, not so much in the Boo arc for example.

Yeah, but the issue is that if they grow in power in base form and go beyond SSJ in base, then SSJ ends up being stronger than it was originally, same for SSJ2, etc...

Like, if you have base Goku at over 150 million in the Buu arc, then x50 that and he is already in initial SSJ2 tier realms.

The stronger they get in base, even if over initial SSJ, just makes SSJ all the stronger so as long as base grows, nothing stops SSJ from surpassing even SSJ3+ eventually. Some people dont like that thought.

I don't mind that thought, Vegetto and Gotenks in SSJ are clearly above SSJ3 Goku in the original manga ( :troll to the displeasure of t0sh), I'm just arguing, even if their abilities, and power increases are more or less the same, the manga's going to depict them as looking way weaker which is why Super Vegeta against Cell for instance was plateaus below Dabura and still looked more impressive than the latter did overall, and Piccolo Daimao looks stronger than the standard Freeza soldier despite those guys having powers over 1000.

Well, I dont really give a shit, just saying.... Whether by accident or realization, Toriyama seems to be going with the whole x50 route for SSJ while base gets stronger in Super, booting SSJ2 and SSJ3 from the majority of fights.

To be honest, I always saw SSJ and beyond as shortcuts to power that could later be gained in base after several years of future training.
