I personally disagree with this. Jackie was not expelling his full effort against Ten, who was also suppressing himself. Ten vs Jackie should be = to match level Goku, no?

I'm extremely rusty on the Budokais.

I personally disagree with this. Jackie was not expelling his full effort against Ten, who was also suppressing himself. Ten vs Jackie should be = to match level Goku, no?

It's >/>=, not >/>. Or my way of saying a somewhat small but noticeable gap. Bigger than the Kid Gohan/Majin Vegeta gap, but smaller than the Vegeta/Beautiful Zarbon gap.

Master-Roshi thought his position might have vanished after he saw match-level Goku, so Master-Roshi might be at-best equal to Match-Level Goku. That Goku at the beginning of the finals got beaten-up easily by Tenshinhan, and after that Goku used his actual full-power. (The narrator in the anime even said something like "will Goku be defeated this easily by Tenshinhan?" when Goku looked like he lost at the beginning.)

Dragon Ball gaps do not work the same imo as Z though, so match level Goku being beaten by Tenshinhan doesn't require a major gap.

For what it's worth Goku thought there was quite a difference between Match-Use & his actual power, since he said he won't die even if he went all out.

Note: “I’ll go at it with my battle-use power tooâ€￾ in the sense that Tenshinhan is also using his battle-use power (not that Tenshinhan thinks in those terms) since he’s trying to kill Goku. It doesn’t mean Goku is going to somehow use both his match and battle-use power simultaneously.

Is this what you're referring to? How does that imply a large gap between match level and combat level? Goku just said that his combat level won't kill Tenshinhan.

I know, but I'm saying that his full-power is way above his match-use power.

He thinks using his full-power could easily kill anyone else in the tournament, but Tenshinhan.

I have a 1.2x gap between Goku and Roshi, who is the third strongest fighter there. That is a one shot gap.

I know in DragonBall even 1.2x or 1.25x can be a huge gap, considering Vegeta/Dodoria, but to consider something really big I'd say 1.33x or something like that.

Not even that'd be a one-shot, if you mean literall one-shot or just a hyperbole?

A stomp can be any of those, but a one-shot'd could be something like Goku vs Ginyu-Force.
