At the beginning of the Boo arc, Goku was seen training with the weights weighing in the tons... he was initially in his base state with each weight equaling 2 tons. He was seen sweating and this seemed to give him a good work out.

Then Kaio-Sama chose to up the weights to 10 tons each... 5x more. And while he seemed overwhelmed at first, he broke no sweat to handle them once he turned a SSJ.

Would that mean the SSJ, for Goku at least, granted an increase superior to 5x?

If so, that could mess up with my very low boost SSJ theory to rationalize base > Piccolo in the Boo saga...

Changing the SSJ multiplier to rationalize something like Base Saiyans > Piccolo is nonsensical. Super Saiyan isn't implied to have such a small boost at any point in the series.

But yes, clearly that should show that the multiplier is larger than 5x, and substantially so.

Toriyama has made it apparent that physical strength is limited compared to Ki and it's very apparent Ki/battle power aren't a linear measurement for physical strength or destructive capability, especially when Base Goku's best lifting feat prior to this was throwing Great Namekian Piccolo at the 23rd TB who it's very doubtful weighed less than 10 tons based on his size alone. Even refuting that due to it relying on calcs, we have Goku being able to move fairly well in 100x gravity despite it making him weigh at least 6.2 tons, so there's clearly a huge lack of linearity between battle power/Ki and increases in physical strength. The 40 tons feat proves nothing when it comes to the SSJ multiplier.
