So, I will be pitting different levels of Luffy against a DB gauntlet. How far could those Luffys get? What's the strongest character he could kick butts?

Luffy (beginning of One Piece, relasing Zoro)

Luffy (arlong park)

Luffy (fighting crocodile)

Luffy (enel's island)

Luffy gear 2nd (fight against lucci)

Luffy (marineford)

Luffy (post time skip)

Luffy (current)

So yeah. While these are different series and some may think it's silly to make a cross over like that, I find it funny to imagine characters from different worlds going up against one another. It's not like we are completely in the dark as well, there're feats for both series.

Both versions of East Blue Luffy should be on comparable levels, considering Zoro implied the Straw Hats only started to make major gains after entering the Grand Line. That said, he's Large Building+ level and with Hypersonic speeds, so he easily gets far in the 22nd TB, possibly getting to the finalists before losing.

Alabasta Luffy is Multi-City Block+ as demonstrated from his Gomu Gomu no Storm and is far faster than before as demonstrated by his Gomu Gomu no Bazooka (around the Mach 30 range). He has the speed to dodge Tenshinhan's Kikoho (and could endure it even if not), but still gets stomped by Old Piccolo Daimao. No real change for his Skypiea self.

Gear 2nd Luffy is MHS+ in speed via-scaling from Blueno's Soru > Kalifa's Soru > lightning. His power ought to be at least Small Town level as it should be on the same tier as Lucci's Rokuogan which he compared to a Reject Dial, of which he saw destroy the giant beanstalk's base. Still gets wrecked by Old Daimao though. He has the speed to dodge all his attacks, but playing the waiting game won't help him. Same for Marineford Luffy.

Post-timeskip Luffy gets Large Mountain+ level scaling for his Gear 3rd and 4th forms via-scaling from several feats during Dressrosa. His Gear 4th self ought to scale to Marco's based on him being on the level of such a strong Yonko Cammander as Katakuri and his Gear 4th self isn't suggested to get any stronger between arcs, and Marco performed this Relativistic feat. At his peak, Luffy can outspeed anyone up to the Saiyan Arc and has the power to get up to 23rd TB Piccolo, though he'd lose as soon as Piccolo uses the Chobakuhatsumaha.

It's worth noting that when Goku fought the battle jacket Black, he kicked away a missile which destroyed half a mountain. Wouldn't that point out to the DB characters having more going for them on their destructive ability?

Not really. Goku was also shocked at what the missile could do and kicking an explosive before it explodes proves nothing. He also kicked away Taopaipai's grenade which fatally injured Tao, someone not far weaker than Goku.
