THE JEDI EXILE (Meetra Surik)
SUMMARY
Meetra Surik, commonly known as the Jedi Exile, is a human female Jedi Master from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. A student of Jedi Master Kavar and later Vima Sunrider, daughter of the famed Nomi Sunrider, the Jedi Exile eventually became a veteran of the Mandalorian Wars where she served as a general under Darth Revan and Malak. There, she played a crucial role in helping to secure ultimate victory for the Republic at Malachor V. Shortly after, the Surik cut herself off from the Force and eventually kicked off the Jedi Council as a result of her actions and the devastation caused at that final battle.
Years later, the Exile, with the help of Darth Treya, regained her connection to the Force and returned to the galaxy. Her exploits brought her redemption, becoming the savior of the Jedi by defeating the likes of Darth Nihilus and Darth Treya herself, toppling the Sith Triumvirate and saving what remained of the Jedi Order.
The final days of Surik's life lead her to the planet of Dromund Kaas. There, she found and freed the imprisoned Revan, her former superior. Together, they made a push to eradicate and destroy the Sith Lord Emperor Vitiate, but there efforts failed and the Exile was killed in during the confrontation. From Wookipedia: “Surik did not become one with the Force at the time of her death; instead, her spirit stayed with Revan and helped him to endure the horrors of his imprisonment in stasis. In the following years after her physical demise, the Jedi that she trained during her travels proved essential to the process of rebuilding the Jedi Order, in the wake of its near annihilation due to the machinations of the Sith. When the Sith Emperor finally unleashed his army against the Republic three centuries later, Surik's spirit instructed Jedi Master Oteg to dispatch a team to free Revan from his prison on Taral V. After urging Revan to fulfill his objective and destroy the Emperor, Surik disappeared and presumably became one with the Force.”
COMBAT & ABILITIES
The Exile is a skilled military tactician and a charismatic, cult of personality type leader. During her years as a padawan, Surik was noted for her ability to attract the attention of others. Her bond with the Force was strong, but it was the intense bonds and relationships she was able to form with her peers that drew particular interests from her teachers and trainers at the Jedi Acadamy.
Her military mind is second to none, having been one of Revan's most trusted and relied upon generals. The Exile lead some of his most crucial, daunting campaigns. Specifically, she led the crusade at the jungle moon Dxun, participating in the bloodiest series of battles in the entirety of the Mandalorian Wars, proving her skills at combat and mastery of warfare. During her time served, the Exile was put in charge of over half the Republic fleet at the hight of her command.
Perhaps Surik's most powerful attribute is her ability to influence and attract others to her cause. As a Padawan on Dantooine, her masters warned her about how easily she was able to manipulate the will of others. During her time reconnecting to the Force, the Exile gathered many individuals to her cause, some of who would go on to learn from her the Jedi ways and become a new generation of Jedi. So strong is her ability to form strong bonds with others that it occurs on an unconscious level, something she was warned of by her masters as a young student. After reconnecting with the Force, this ability became stronger. Simply by observing another in action, Surik could instantly learn Force techniques and lightsaber forms that would take a Jedi Master years to perfect. It was believed by Masters Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar, and Vrook Lamar that this was because of the wound in the Force that surrounded her, which allowed her—like Darth Nihilus—to feed on the death of other life forms to sustain her Force powers
In addition to her lightsaber, Meetra carries with her a standard blaster and an personalized armband which increases her constitution. She wears plain Jedi robes, providing her with minimal extra defense.
(A typical blaster, as carried by The Exile)
Force Powers: Due to her unique connection to the Force, the Exile has proven to be an incredibly skilled and powerful Jedi. She was once a nexus of the Force, her connection to it representing a wound in the galaxy that had the power to wipe out the Force and its connection to all living things.
Surik knows a rare number of Force abilities, most of which were learned during her informal tutelage under Darth Treya. These include, but are not limited too, Beast Trick, Breath Control, Levitation, as well as an extremely powerful form of mind reading capable of penetrating even the innermost thoughts of a target. This ability she learned in a matter of minutes, when even the most skilled masters can take years to do the same. She also mastered the ability to see through the Force, using in in place of traditional sight.
Battle Precognition: A power manifested in the form of Force visions of future events, guiding premonitions or warnings, and an inflow of prescience that helped the Jedi predict their opponent's movements. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Precognition
Force Whirlwind: A powerful form of telekenisis which produces a high velocity wind blowing away multiple opponents.
Force Resistance: Being able to block out or highly resist the Force powers of an opponent or antagonist.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Force_resistance
Moving Meditation: A technique where one meditated while repairing and building mechanical devices, or simply focusing on a moving object.
Lightsaber Forms: The Exile uses a self constructed, single blade lightsaber with a cyan colored focusing crystal. The hilt contains an additional crystal of the rare variety, which can become in tune with it's user, growing it's bond and power over time as the user's own connection to the Force also increases. Meetra is a profound master at the art of using a lightsaber, defeating such opponents as Darth Sion, Darth Treya, Darth Nihilus, Azkul, Vaklu, and Atris.
She was also proficient in many forms of hand-to-hand and melee combat. At the Telosian Jedi Academy, Surik defeated five of the six Handmaiden sisters in hand-to-hand combat. On Dxun, Surik defeated the two champions of the Mandalorians' battle circle, Kelborn and Bralor, becoming the champion of the battle circle and earning the champions' rights to criticize or praise any Mandalorian who sparred in the battle circle. Mandalore the Preserver told Surik, with respect, that even with all their martial training, battles and ethics, even the greatest of his Mandalorian warriors were no match for her.
Mandalorian Battle Circle:
The Exile's preferred method of lightsaber combat is unknown, but she was fluent in several forms, and is one of the only few Jedi capable of mastering Dun Moch, a battle technique primarily used by the Sith. This form often includes the use of taunts, antagonism and various other methods of implementing psychological tactics during combat. She used an inverted form of this when battling Darth Scion, convincing him to accept death and return to the Force.
