Theory about the Final Flash

I'm 90% sure that Vegeta could have put out more energy and bulked up to 3rd Grade SSJ. What if he put that energy in the Final Flash instead and that's why it's so powerful? It would explain why he never used such a powerful attack again.

It wasn't stated nor implied except his muscles though. Beside, Trunks learned later that Vegeta knew the Grade III form but didn't use it.

Dont know if thats necessary. Considering the Kamehameha was shown to have very high destructive power during the Cell arc too.

Yeah, attack amp in general was just very high. Piccolo's Light Grenade, the KHH (stated to be well above Saiyan arc KHH), Final Flash. I don't see why any of these would be below Saiyan arc Light of Death. So I don't think it's necessary to think the attack was fuelled by Gr3, it was just that strong.

Considering that no superior villain is ever damaged by attacks like this, realistically I think Cell was caught off guard by it more than anything. He doesn't seem to respect it until last minute.

This could be very similar to the situation with SPC and Gohan. I doubt that Gohan would be damaged much at all if he was in his full blocking position.

Ki blasts work in a strange way, but I think they make sense. The punches that you don't see are the ones that knock you out. Something about not being aware or fully on guard leaves you susceptible to getting damaged tremendously. Remember, it is ki that protects them, their actual body cannot endure such things.

I think that is the best option honestly. And seems to be the most realistic. People just don't get fucked up by ki blasts when they are that much stronger. It just doesn't happen.

There's one panel when Vegeta begins charging the FF where he actually looks like he bulks up and his hair sticks out more. Then it's back to grade 2 size with a grade 3 aura right after.

It's almost as if Toriyama was going to have him go grade 3 and then decided not to, so he could save it for Trunks.

I think Cell could have easily taken Final Flash but hed have to power up. At his warm up power he wasno match. I think Final Flash is very amplified. But so is the KHH in general.

Light Grenade can be powerful, but doesn't have to be insanely powerful. 1.6 or 1.75x should cut it. Add in his weakened state and Cell doesn't have to be more than 2x Piccolo.
