Time Freeze vs Time Leap vs Invulnerability

Time freeze if Guldo can improves on it like Hit did with his time leap. I think there is a limit to Botamo's technique. Apparently in episode 40, Champa gets angry at his team and is going to kill them and they are stuck in fear. If Botamo's technique isn't limited, shouldn't he not be afraid of getting destroy by Champa?

An argument can be made that Goku was fighting Botamo with normal Chi. Therefore anything within the lower dimension of power doesn't work on him. It would take something in the next dimension to bypass his invulnerability to physical harm.

Perhaps since Goku and Vegeta did save energy until they faces Hit. Goku did tells Hit being a SSJB uses a lot of energy. If I remember correctly, Piccolo mention a SSJ (Goku) might not be able to harm Botamo.
I thought of it as pouring water to a cup, but the cup have a small piece missing in the bottom. If you keep pouring water to the cup, it will overflow. If Goku keeps attacking Botamo, his technique will overheat and no longer work until it goes down like a thermometer.

Used by the characters themselves on equal grounds, or used by the same person?
With Gurd's poor stamina when performing the Time Freeze and it's inability to work against someone equal to or stronger than himself, his is clearly the fodder here. As for Tokitobashi VS Botamo's durability, Tokitobashi is probably more haxed as Botamo still has a very finite level of durability, whereas Hit's Tokitobashi constantly improves.
