Btw, how strong would be Piccolo compared to Goku? He seemed to be weaker than SSJ Goku back on U6, but considering his performance against Gohan in their training leading to ToP, he may be already considerably stronger than even SSJ3 Goku? I wonder.

That was a rusty, out of shape Gohan that wasn't much stronger than the one who got stomped by First Form Freeza, who even in Final Form was weaker than
ROF Base Goku.

That was gag fight/outlier. Gohan is stated several times to be out of practice and much weaker than his Boo arc Ultimate level. If he was equal to Goku then he would solo all of Z.

Yeah, 17 is at least SSJG tier, if not close to SSJB tier in the anime. Piccolo is on par with Current Base Saiyan, maybe even weaker judging by Base Goku's tank of his blast in episode 90, as well as Piccolo losing both his arms to the snipers blasts, blasts that only scratched Base Vegeta's face.
