For this thread we'll be focusing on Goku's statement about admitting inferiority to Super Boo.
Evidence for Goku's moral standpoint before & after the Majin Boo Saga:
While inside Majin Boo's body, Goku discovers that the younger generation is alright, and he also learns that fusion is still a viable option inside of Majin Boo. Presently, he still has two options available. The moral reasoning of wanting someone alive to save the world -which was the entire reason of leaving the world up to Goten & Trunks; and one of the reasons they went in in the first place, and the possibility of performing fusion while inside Majin Boo. However, the secondary option would require some additional effort because he has to somehow convince Vegeta to perform the dance. What better way to do it than to admit inferiority to Majin Boo?:
We need to pay attention to Goku's comedic facial expressions as he tries to suggest fusion to Vegeta. It follows in contextual progression with the statement that came before it 'Majin Boo is stronger than either of us', so within the larger context of the scene, Goku is trying to convince Vegeta to merge with him. His reasoning for being adamant about using Super Saiyan 3 -unless he absolutely has to, because remember; he still has two viable options left, is all due to this:
Akira Toriyama
Additionally, neither Goku nor Vegeta knew how powerful Pure Boo was at this point. But regardless of whatever enemy Goku was faced with -which actually may or may not have been superior to Super Boo, he still felt compelled in fighting them on his own, now.
Summarily, because Goku is willing to engage a battle power that he doesn't fully comprehend yet, this evidently proves that the events and statements inside Majin Boo's body were being heavily influenced from underlying factors -such as secondary options and his moral standpoint on the matter entirely, and his statement about being inferior to Super Boo was merely an attempt to convince Vegeta to perform fusion with him.
The fusion rituals and younger generation were relevant at one time period, but no longer were.

Evidence for Goku's moral standpoint before & after the Majin Boo Saga:
Goku feels extremely adamant about being the one to save the Earth, regardless of the fact that he could do it. He feels that the younger generation should become the new saviors of the world, and not himself.Goku: “No…I’m no longer a human who’s particularly even supposed to be here…I shouldn’t be the one to do it. It’d be better for these young guys to solve things somehow or another
Chapter: 519 (DBZ 325), P13.2
Goku: “Is that alright? You just might not get your turn…I can say this now, but the truth is that with that fat Boo, I would have been able to defeat him at the time with Super Saiyan 3…However, I wanted the young guys to manage something…For the Earth’s sake too…”
Goku: “From now on, if anything should happen, you’ll be the one to defend the peace!”

Chapter: 506 (DBZ 312), P12.4-5
Context: after Goku and Vegeta revert Boo back to regular evil Boo
Goku: “Hehhe~~eh! With this, Boo’s power should have fallen significantly! We’re almost there! See, see: the size of his ki is completely different than before!”
Vegeta: “Alright! Let’s blast out of here and escape!”
Goku: “Wait! Even though Boo has returned to normal a whole lot, we’re still simply no match for his strength! If we go outside like this, we’ll definitely be done in…!”
Chapter: 506 (DBZ 312), P13.1
Context: still talking about how they’re no match for Boo
Goku: “…But there is one way we can win!”
Vegeta: “You want to say Fusion, right? Well who cares about that?!”
Goku: “Huh? You know about it?”
Vegeta: “I saw it from the afterlife…You’ve got to be joking! You think I’d perform those ugly poses…?! Anyway, I thought I told you that I’m not going to merge with you a second time.”

His reasoning for being adamant about using Super Saiyan 3 -unless he absolutely has to, because remember; he still has two viable options left, is all due to this:
Goku: “It’s that ‘Super Saiyan 3’ thing from before…It’s a technique you should only use in the afterlife…In this world, where time exists, it uses too much energy, and you get completely exhausted all at once…”
Chapter: 509 (DBZ 315), P6.8, P7.1-5
Context: after Kaioshin hands Goku his Potara, but he refuses it
Goku: “…Like I thought, these…just ain’t suited for us…Even though you went out of your way to hand ‘em over…We want to fight with only our own power. I’m sorry, especially since things are so dangerous now…But [Boo] ain’t merged anymore either…“
Akira Toriyama
By the time Pure Boo arrived, the younger generation was no longer a viable option and both the Metamoran and Potara ritual were dismissed inside Majin Boo's body. The only viable option remaining was to actually engage Majin Boo himself, regardless of whether or not it went against his moral ethics. So it’s like Goku’s line at the end of the battle with Majin Boo.
That’s right. He said “You did well all on your own”. I suppose that Goku’s motive was that no matter what kind of enemy there was, he wanted to fight them one-on-one.
