Why was the the Z senshi scared of Piccolo? If he was beaten down to the lowest point of his health, couldn't Ten and Krillin double team him?

He was just so far above them that even when worn down as much as he was, he was still stronger than all of them. I don't see any other explanation.

He said that they still couldn't win even with Kami. Even if there were thousands of them.

And them somehow at the beginning of Z all of them are within the 2x range of Piccolo and Goku. Lol.

He's stated to still have had some power in reserve when he scares the z-senshi from interfering. Then when they go to try again goku himself stops them.

There is a massive power gap between Goku/Piccolo and the others ( Not including Kami ). It's ridiculous. Probably somewhere from 5-10x or so.
