Vegeta can't turn into a SSJ2... do you think he gets it?

I'd go with Gohan being a SS2 and Dabura being SPC tier, so Dabura stomps. Even going by Gohan just being a SSJ for the sake of the thread, it's hard to ignore evidence such as Galu having his aura present against Yakon (something only shown when he uses his full power after mastering the form) and Dabura still being confident in taking him, so that'd probably force one to believe Dabura held back against Gohan for whatever reason. For further sake of the scenario and ignoring that point, it comes down to if Vegeta can avoid his spit and whether or not Vegeta can take him down before Dabura can use his magic to launch another type of fatal blow, something very possible when he was conscious after two hits from a SS2 tier opponent and has plenty of magical abilities.

I side with Gohan being an SSJ so Vegeta wins with or without Majin.

Vegeta will win pretty easily then imo. While Goku did say that Dabra was better than they expected, he still failed to do any significant damage to an extremely rusty Gohan. Vegeta would destroy him.

If Dabra struggled to overwhelm SS Teen Gohan I'm gonna go out on a whim and say Vegeta wins pretty handily.

Vegeta wins it here.
Vegeta says he & Goku at AscendedSaiyan (SS2) were stronger than Gohan, even during the fight between SuperSaiyan Gohan & Dabura Vegeta claimed he could've defeated Dabura in the time it takes Gohan to barely hold his own, with absolutely disagreement from Goku.

I also think the MajinSpell would stack on what's already there, so a SuperSaiyan Vegeta before or after the MajinSpell would defeat Dabura.

Why would Dabura hold back of the target of the fight was to get energy for Boo?

On topic, Vegeta wins with mid difficulties

Hence why I'd say the narrative has more evidence supporting the SS2 side of the argument. However, Dabura drawing the fight out for his own enjoyment wouldn't be out of character for him, considering he let his own desires slip when Pui Pui was about to face the Saiyans when saying there'd be nothing left for him to enjoy, despite believing these three to be no match for even Pui Pui.

Why does that make the narrative look like he was a SSjin 2?

Goku is shown flaring his aura against Yakon, compared to his aura not leaking at all when he used 50% for Karin, with aura only being on display for Super Saiyans that have mastered the form when they use their full power from what we see. Ergo, Dabura > SSJ Goku. Even if you assume he was using somewhere above 50% but less than 100% (which is a stretch when we have nothing to go off on whether his aura would appear if that were done), there was no need to use a SS2 burst rather than trying to use more of his SSJ power first if suppression really was the case.

Plus there's a clear difference between Goku's SSJ aura during and after killing Yakon IIRC, with the later showing us Goku's what Goku's non fighting SSJ aura looks like.

Dabra can't sense.

Nah I’m just backing CC’s point on whether or not Goku was using all of his SSJ1 power on Yakon. Nothing about Dabra here.
