The story of the franchise started when this woman was looking for the Dagon Balls and met Goku and from there onwards she was featured throughout the series until Boo arc imo where she's just Trunks mother and Vegeta's wife.

Anyone agree? If so, do you like how Super managed to make her great again? :trump

It was inevitable that her role would gradually be phased out from the start of Z and onward. The Dragon Balls were becoming less of a focal point of the series throughout all of Z apart from the Freeza Arc, and even then there was nothing related to the Dragon Radar or Capsules that made Bulma's role mandatory. Even in the Cell Arc, her only necessary role beyond being impregnated was knowing a rough idea of where Gero's lab was and even that could've been something Trunks had knowledge of if necessary. Her Saiyan armour didn't provide anything necessary beyond giving the Saiyans a new look and her fixing #16 wasn't necessary when his only role going forward was to job to Cell for Gohan to get SS2, something that would've had more impact if coming from the death of a main character rather than the words of one he had no link to.
Even that's more necessity than her role in the Boo Arc was though, which was slim to none beyond being mentioned a few times as a reason for Vegeta's development.

By having her be slapped and offer sundaes to Boris? :ha

She did fix the Time Machine, but you could've easily rewritten it so that it was Trunks who went about it due to him having more in-depth knowledge on the device.

I'd argue that was the perfect set up for Gohan to cut loose. We know #16 was a pacifist like Gohan and thus could understand how Gohan couldn't, even if unconsciously, set free. Him being an unknown character for Gohan didn't matter either, as it was his words that had the main effect on Gohan finally revealing his new form.
