Was Nappa slower than his BP would suggest?

Nappa seems to have mass at least on par with Grade 3, if not larger. Do you think his speed is affected by this? Krillin was able to sidestep a head on attack, and Nappa even struggled to track his movement with his eyes following that. Given the difference in their powers, I don’t really see this being possible unless Nappa’s speed is hampered by his size. What do you think?

I don't think so but otherwise it would be outright stated like SSG3 Trunks, Merged Zamasu, Power Weighted Cell etc. Also it depends if the users exerts too much power in their body that will decrease their speed while guys like Nappa, Butter and Racoome are fast because its their regular body.

Not sure. He did get overwhelmed by team attacks and even Kuririn solo, plus 5k Goku was blitzing him. But then he got real and not only went toe to toe with Goku but also was too fast for Goku to not caught up to him without Kaioken.

Literally everything that hit Nappa was an off-guard, cheap attack.

Along with what Tapion said, Nappa and Grade 3 Trunks aren't the best comparison for builds when Nappa has the height and equalised proportions to make his muscle mass not so much of a slow, stocky one compressing all that mass together like with the shorter Trunks. Nappa being able to keep up with 8k Goku also shows his speed is far from disproportionate with his power.

Nappa was not off guard when he got juked by Krillin and could hardly track his movement. That doesn’t add up no matter how you look at it.

He was likely just not expecting an Earthling to be that fast. Him getting blitzed by Kuririn yet matching 8k Goku adds up even less if assuming his body was ready.

Nappa has a hole in his offense. He leaves himself open right before he attacks. He's the least skilled guy on the field. That's why Krillen is able to catch him so many times.
