This is what Goku stated once Vegeta said they should rush out from Super Bop's body. Boo had weakened, but Goku still didn't want a piece of him. What do you think about the argument that the "like this" referred to their size, diminute size, as Goku shows surprise they returned to their normal size when out Boo's body, instead of referring to their unfused state? How'd you counter that?

Goku’s very next line was voicing his displeasure over the potara being broken. His next plan is to use fusion dance. Size is never in the question here. When Boo appears within his own body, he notes that Goku and Vegeta can’t combine anymore, saying “that’s nice”. It’s pretty clear that Boo is stronger than both ofhem, regardless of their size. In Viz Goku even says “he’s still stronger than each of us”. That theory should be put away for good man.

Also within Boo’s body, when Boo was also small, they never thought their chances would improve due to his size.

"Like this" only refers to size if you completely isolate this line from all it's context, as in the very next panel Goku complains they were unfused. It's also worth noting Goku didn't even realize he was smaller until after Boo pointed it out.

Also, I'd like to say the same people who think Goku got weaker by being shrunk down think shrunking made Boo stronger later

Along with what Supreme said, there's also far too much evidence for Goku not being on Evil Boo's level before this statement. For instance, Goku knew Gohan's potential far surpassed his own, yet he was absolutely astounded by the burst Gohan had part-way through the ritual and was in awe he could get even stronger. That alone shows SS3 Goku isn't even stacking up to a sample of Chadhan's true greatness. Then there's also the stuff with Gotenks to bring the nail further into the coffin.

Also, if size was the context of the statement, then why would Goku say that "we" weren't a match for Boo like that instead of "I'm"? Vegeta couldn't even put up a fight against Fat Boo without killing himself, so implying things would be different if he was bigger ( ) wouldn't work.
"Like this" is most likely just referring to their current limits of power in general.

True that Goku's next complain was the earrings being broken. But he saw how in Vegetto size didn't matter against Boo, as they were outclassing him even as a candy. So someone could say -- this size we can't defeat Boo, but fused we can, as it has demonstrated size doesn't matter.

Why would they still be scared to face Evil Boo in his body if he is also small? Goku directly says they aren’t a match for him. I know you don’t believe this theory, but it’s brutal.
