Were The Cell Jrs Holding Back Against Vegeta/Trunks?

Only in terms of killing intent before Cell gave the order to stop playing around. I don't believe they were suppressing their actual power at all.

Why would they? They might have been toying around and not killing them (because they didn't have to if you think about it), but there wouldn't really be any reason for them to actually hold back.

Then again, it can be viewed that not killing someone when you can is, in fact, holding back.

Yes. They seem to really be as powerful as suppressed perfect cell. Can they regenerate from minor injuries or are they androids?

They're not androids because they're not robots who take on a human form. They're biologically created. We've never seen them regenerate so it's all speculation really.

Maybe they were holding back, but not by a great amount. They could be at 90% of their max.

They were goofing around, sure, but Cell explicitly stated that Trunks and Vegeta were holding their own to establish that only Vegeta/Trunks could keep up with them. It wouldn't make sense to assume that the Cell Jrs. were holding back against them since that would simply erode the credibility of the author.

The Daizenshuu said that they're even with Vegeta and Trunks so I guess they weren't holding back at all. Maybe they have the advantage over the Saiyans IIRC.
