I think I remember Goku also said something like "...for someone like you who defeated Freeza in an instant...", so probably ends-up just as fast as he did suppressed Freeza.

Just take out Freeza without problems imo, it doesn't have to mean he'll take him out in exactly less than a second, though that's definitiely possible depending on how Trunks play out.

I think Trunks can take out Freeza in that manner regardless of what percentage Freeza was putting out. I think that safely puts Freeza in a 60-70% area at best in regards to Trunks power. Freeza is a nothing to Trunks and I suspect Trunks could easily dispose of 2 or 3 Freeza's at the same time. This gap is nerfed far too often, everyone likes to nerf things post Freeza, but it's not realistic to the story.

I think there's a little bit more too it. In this situation, it gets brought up multiple times how easily Trunks dispatches of Freeza, using his power as some sort of standard. Freeza is literally nothing to Trunks, even with the help of his father he is a non threat. Vegeta is a overly cocky character, Trunks on the other hand, is not. He is just so confident in his overwhelming power advantage, he can't help but boast.

Freeza and Goku on Namek both pale in comparison to Future Gohan and Future Trunks. There is a wide divide there.
