Gon asked how can he kill people who have no connection to him and he responded. It seems VIZ fugged his response a little, as in the original the dialogue goes more like this:

Gon: How can you kill so many people with no connection to you?

Kuroro: Like the face of the fighter who has raised its white flag but stays ready to fight... I ask myself. Maybe it's precisely because they have no connection to us. But still... the reason... the express of the motive... that's not with me. But probably, or better, evidently, it's there where the key for the self-consciousness lies.

What the heck did he mean? I like how he seems like a mysterious guys whose word let you wondering his reasons and the way he operates.

I think the Viz translation could be fairly accurate to his true intent. It's been shown that a user's Nen ability is based around either their personality or experiences. Chrollo's main Nen skill focuses on taking what others have, which may be the key to analysing him. Having built a career on stealing valuable things others have, it may have caused some level of existential thought within him in terms of what path his life is taking and if there's something more he can strive towards beyond being just a thief.

Well, he says as if he doesn't understand why he kills random people mercilessly... but if he understood the reason, he'd understand himself, which he doesn't.
