What happened in the Void Century?

Simple question? What do you think the true history is?

We know there was a nation that was destroyed, and the government was born, but what else happened?

Six of the one piece worlds moons were destroyed, and I also assume that the ancient weapons were used to form the current world. The island system, 4 oceans, grand line/calm belt is clearly a constructed world.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say devil fruits didn't exist before that time as well.
