When he had revived Cecilia, would he have released the souls he had trapped and returned Kaibacorp to Kaiba? I mean, it's not like he would have any further use for them. And I'm pretty sure that, even if he hadn't got that soft, Cecilia would have been like 'Either you fix the damage you've done or we're through.'

Of course, the above applies to Anime Pegasus only, since Manga Pegasus was essentially a demented person who wanted to live with holograms of his deceased lover.

If Pegasus had decided not to release anyone, what do you think would have happened with Marik? Wouldn't he have made a move sooner or later? Would Ishizu have asked Pegasus to organize a tournament to lure Rare Hunters as she asked Kaiba in canon? Would Ishizu have convinced Pegasus to release the Pharaoh so that the prophecies came true?

Anime Pegasus didn't die right after either and seemed back to some-what normal in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, so yeah he'd probably go back to being normal.
