What if Zoro went to save the Thousand Sunny instead of Sanji?

In the Dressrosa saga...Zoro would have faced Doflamingo, right?

Doffy would waste Zoro pretty much the same way he wasted Sanji, but if Zoro ended up going to Zou like Sanji did, then a sh1t tonne of would change.

I doubt Zoro has anything that can tangle with G4 Luffy, so even should Asura give Doflamingo some trouble, it wouldn't be enough for him to need his Awakening. It'd turn out as a more interesting version of Sanji's battle.

As far as Zou goes, a lot would've changed, as said above.

If Zoro used Asura, I feel he could give Doflamingo some trouble, but he'd still lose. I doubt Zoro has anything that can compete with Gear Fourth, unless he got a new move over the timeskip.

I'd say Zoro would give him considerably more trouble than Sanji via Asura. That said, Luffy had help from Law and even the villagers to beat Dofla. I don't see Zoro coming out with a W here.

Doffy would have needed awakening for sure. Then again the only battlefield would be the ship, which Doffy has no problems with destroying. Zoro wouldn't have a chance to go on the offensive in that situation
