Would be interesting if there was just one fruit that allowed the user to not be at such a high risk of drowning, without having to change the state of the water, as long as it all made sense.

If his human form has been affected by the Zoan then surely he's a minotaur.

And what kind of curse fits into OP? A DF-originates curse? Because it seems unlikely a Yonkou would be the victim of another's DF fruit ability and not go and kill them, unless he has someone in his crew giving him power using their DF, which I suppose is a possibility if he has a close knit crew or if he's just forcing somebody to do it.

He could be somewhat like Kuma except instead of being modified with man made robotic parts he could have parts from real beasts (Kraken, a sea cow thing like from Arlong Park etc).

I agree with the Oni DF theory too. With Oda's tendency to link his tributes to folktales and mythology, with Momonosuke being a reference to Momotaro, it seems very likely for Kaidou to play the role of the Oni King. With his size and horns, he could be from the same giant race as the Oars family too.

The Momotaro reference isn't completely likely though, since Sentoumaru shares inspiration from Momotaro, along with Aokiji, Kizaru and Akainu all being linked to the tale, yet I find it doubtful they'd play a major part in the Zou or Wano Arcs.
