Of all the ones I've read, I would choose Berserk as my favorite manga. The story, characters, and art are all outstanding in my opinion. Although to many it does drop off a bit in quality after the Eclipse, I still think that first few story arcs afterwards still maintain a high enough level of quality for me to consider it one of my favorite series that I've read.

In any case, what are your guys' favorite manga? :mikey

Berserk and Dragon Ball of course.

I thought you were a big One Piece fan? Or was it OPM? Or JoJo's? :eek:of

Ashita no Joe. It has one of the best character arcs in the medium as you see it's protagonist go from a selfish ruffian who can border on sociopathic at times to a caring and matured man fighting for both the sake of those he's left behind and his own ambitions, the greatest rivalry in the medium between Joe and Rikiishi as the existence of the other pushes each to reach new heights and settles their score, great development for it's support cast such as Danpei, Nishi and Yoko and perhaps the most memorable and perfect ending in the history of anime/manga. It also does well in presenting both sides of boxing; the glory and riches it brings in and the health problems it can provide and how it can affect a character's psychology, such as Joe's PTSD half-way through the series. The only real criticism I have of it is the kid characters being annoying at times (though that's more so for it's anime adaption) and Joe being a bit too overpowered prior to Rikiishi's introduction.
