Sorry this has taken so long CC. What your favourite aspect of the franchise as a whole? If you are having trouble picking 1 then feel free to list several.

For me, I think the simple formula is what I enjoy the most. DB imo is the perfect form of mindless entertainment. Very little of the series is dry and easily keeps you captivated. The simplistic nature of DB works well for itself, and I appreciate that it doesn't try hard to be anything other than what it is - a solid Shonen.

Whilst an uncommon answer, I'd say the concept of Capsules. Despite this concept becoming a background decoration for the most part in Z and beyond, the idea of suppressing and expanding an object is a very unique concept that is the one DB concept I'd actually like to see Battle Shonen or more series in general expand on rather than just stealing the ideas of power ups.

If you think about it, something like this could prove an interesting plot for an arc if it was so much as executed. We know Capsules have the potential to hold organic matter with improvements as shown in DBO's lore. Just imagine an arc where some former Freeza Soldiers or some random space pirates come to Earth and get their hands on some Capsules, then using them to hide troops inside of and perform an infiltration to take important support characters like Bulma or Dende hostage. Would be 100x more engaging then the perpetual case of each foe being stronger than the last and requiring an asspull power up to beat.

Or a serial killer who hide his victims in capsules. The goal of the arc wouldn't be to simply defeat him (since he wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of Goku or Vegeta in a direct fight), but to be capable of finding out who is the killer. This kind of arc would allow the weaker, but smarter characters to shine for once.
