Option 2. First started reading it in 2011, and I really like the artwork, and the concept is great. Super's tournament arc seems like a cheap plagiarism.

It's shit. Not the worst but still boring with crappy plot direction and pointless specials

I thought it started out alright but it went downhill with all these specials and some crappy characters.

Will always be better than Super. Those first two arcs will always scar the series, and the third arc is a multiverse knock-off. :troll2

It's the best continuation of the series. Done in the only way possible to continue such a series. Great, great thinking, great concepts, not everything is executed properly. But they do have the basis of how things should be done moving forward. I would change many things, but they have the proper foundation and absolutely shit on everything else, GT and Super of course.

I won't deny DBM had an alright beginning, but as it went on it became mired by a slow-moving and uninteresting plot, excessive fan wank and marysue characters and overabundance of specials that stretched out the fanfiction more than an overstretched vagina after giving birth to overweight triplets. Any one of these factors is worthy of dropping for a slow-releasing fanfiction imo

Agreed with the flaws, but the concept is spot on. They just need to be thought out more. Creating a Multiverse and having a tournament between all of the Multiverse's talent is a brilliant concept. It is a brilliant way to tie in all of the non canon characters we all came to know and love, in reasonable fashion.

Anyways, I prefer Super at this point. It might have taken a while to pick up, but the current arc actually showed some planning and intrigue, albeit with several plot holes as a result of that time travel mess as per usual. I don't like the pacing in it right now, but that's outright godly compared to Multiverse taking 4 years to pick up with the plot with all those dumb specials.

Catch me up on Super. Last I left, they were starting the tournament. Is Gohan still not getting any respect?

Gohan's pretty much settled into the life of a scholar although he did train with Piccolo for a while in the anime. They had to do the tournament without him because he had to go to a conference, and the main universe won the tournament after this guy who used timestops to defeat Vegeta refused to be a pawn in Champa's game after being impressed with Goku. After that the whole Future Trunks arc started and unraveled greater mysteries than it originally let on.

What kind of mysteries in the Future Trunks saga were revealed?

Yea, Multiverse's pov on Gohan's power felt the most accurate to me. He can neither gain, nor lose power and it is a substantial universal power, if not the strongest. Goku and Vegeta most likely can never reach Gohan's power no matter what.

Basically the Goku Black guy who terrorized the future seemed to be some cliched evil copy of Goku made by a rogue Kaioshin, but he turned out to be the one who started the whole crusade to wipe out all mortals in the first place.

It's okay. I like reading it now and then. I like the 'what if' battles.
