I know this is not real but I do agree with the overall idea of FighterZ having a sequel no earlier than Q2 2023.
Even though FighterZ is an amazing game overall, there's still room for improvement.
What do you think they will do?
Here's my predictions:
Mechanics
- No autocorrect on autocombos
- Autocombos aren't fully executable on whiff
- Evasive vanishes at a cost of 2 ki gauges
- Reduced tracking on superdash
- Team-specific attacks
- Quick tag-outs (assist buffer is longer)
Game Modes
- Story Mode is much less grindy and battles are more challenging. RPG elements are fleshed-out.
- Arcade Mode's difficulty curve is based on the AI actually playing better rather than having beefed-up stats. Mini-storylines for each character.
- New game modes like Survival (select one character and fight infinite opponents till you lose), Trails (win fights under specific conditions), and Gallery (watch movies/cutscenes, play music, and look at artwork).
- Rollback netcode for online play
New Characters
Gohan (Beast)
Raditz
Dabura
Caulifla (w/ Kale)
Toppo
Ganma 1 & 2
New Stages
- Hyperbolic Time Chamber
- Tournament of Power
- Glacier
- Red Ribbon Army Base
Others
- All the canon characters return with few exceptions
- 18 and Majin Buu receive moveset overhauls and are now on the good guy side of the roster
- Certain characters now have alternate costumes
