Which do you think is the best ending for Dragonball?

I've said this before, but the Cell arc. It'd end with Gohan achieving a new level of SSJ, and Goku passing the torch to his son as the protector of Earth. I like that ending.

I have to go with the Freeza arc, that's the last time I feel the manga is overall good instead of a giant mess with a few diamonds in the rough. This is stepping into fannon territory but keeping Goku, Vegeta and Krillin dead would've been a pretty good send off. Goku dies as the legendary Super Saiyan but that inevitably kills him, Vegeta had a pretty satisfying send off by begging the man he hates to avenge the Saiyan's pride and Krillin goes without saying. This would require retconning the Namekian Ball's ability to revive those who've already died once and alter certain manga events but I think it can work as a good, somber conclusion.

I'm torn between Gohan killing Super Boo and the Cell Arc. Going with Gohan killing Boo for now, since it would be cool to see Goku truly passing the torch to Gohan.

Nothing beats Freeza arc, needless to say.

Either Majin Boo or Cell if those arcs weren't written so poorly.

Goku dying on Namek with Gohan and Piccolo barely escaping, and a panel of the Dragon Balls retaining their luminance as Gohan trains away with him in the wilderness sounds cool instead of the overextension we got.

Cell Saga for me. Could also have been 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai, though. That'd have been another good ending.

Freeza Saga just wouldn't have felt right with Goku dying. DragonBall being a story like that...nah.

True. I just noticed that, too but there's a clear successor of sorts and we know Goku is chilling in after-life so all is good.

Well, Gohan can be a successor striving to reach the Super Saiyan like Goku did with the Freeza arc development as well. I agree Cell is better in that regard because he's done much grander things (probably the only grand thing ) in that arc though.

Yeah, I just still really like the Cell Saga so I'd like for that to stay and that was Gohan's big moment. Kind-of like an official successor. Like he's proven he can defend the earth, where-as if Goku dies on Namek he died the strongest, and there'd always be doubt about him being able to defend earth.

Of-course that all ended-up being proven wrong in the Boo Saga anyway by Gohan slacking-off.
