One of the most interesting things about DB is the different flavors of music you can get from it, each soundtrack provides a completely new feel to the show. But anyways, what’s your favorite of the soundtracks?

Mine’s is the Ron Wasserman Music from the Ocean dub of DBZ episodes 1-53, as I listed in my signature. It gives the show a fair atmosphere, which I love. Plus a lot of the music fits with the fight scenes in DBZ.

The Kikuchi score, easily. It by far has the most variation when it comes to creating atmosphere, tracks covering many elements such as drama, tragedy, uplifting payoffs, etc. Yamamoto's score comes second for similar reasons, though lacks as many stand-out tracks.

The Faulconer has some good tracks, but far fewer than the previously mentioned two and with far less variation in atmosphere, not to mention failing hard in altering the music to match the scene sometimes by going with a single character theme rather than using leitmotifs to offer alternate renditions (something Kikuchi's score did excellently with multiple renditions of tracks such as Piccolo's theme or the Cha-La-Head-Cha-La instrumentals). The rest of the different soundtracks aren't memorable enough for me to give any critique over.
