I must assume a T-Rex is a T-Rex, because why would the T-Rex have the attributes of an animal much stronger or weaker.

Roshi has better feats that T-Rex versus Chichi as well. Gag or not.

There is a gag scene where Chi-Chi throws her helmet blade on Roshi. He’s hurt, but isn’t decapitated like the T-Rex was.

The thing is that according to Wiki Vs Battle, an Elephant has a kinetic energy of 370,000 Joules and a Triceratops has 1,079,837,6 Joules.

That means that:

Triceratops >>> Elephant >>> T-rex?

Maybe T-rexes aren't as powerful as we thought.

Apparently those 87,009.58 Joules of the T-rex are the Kinetic Energy they produce. The formula is:

Mass (KG) divided by 2 x Speed (m/s)^2.

The T-rex wasn't very fast, so its Kinetic Energy is much lower than that of an Elephant.
