Who can compete with Horakhty?

There is one statement by Aknadin-possessed Seto in the manga where he claims the White Dragon will even surpass Atem's Horakhty, but that's almost definitely a bluff considering that the BEWD was repeatedly stated only to rival the gods, who are pissants to their fusion. This was also in that typical scenario where the biggest evil (Zorc) was gone and they had to tie up loose ends while the main character was still winded from his previous battle. I don't know much about the sequel series, but after destroying Zorc in a single hit I don't think anything could come close to Horakhty as far as the original series goes

The Sacred Beasts are pissants to the Egyptian Gods. Even their anime counterparts aren't nearly as good as the anime Gods. Horakhty is basically an infinitely powerful monster, while Armityle isn't really anything special beyond a giant beatstick. Horakhty has lore behind it, while Armityle was never given any special backstory or anything as far as I recall.
The only thing that comes close to Horakhty's power is Zorc, and we saw how that turned out. I was going to mention the Great Leviathan, but then I remembered it got beat by the individual Gods' combined attack.

To be fair the gods also needed to be powered up by all the human souls again Leviathin, although I think you can argue that was because they were summoned via duel disk.
I think at least if the wicked gods were given a combination they could compete with it.

Pegasus made them a failsafe as far as I remember of that short manga. Even Bandit Keith could control those Wicked Beasts, so I doubt they're some special type of cards that can be controlled by a select few like the Gods or the three dragons from the Dartz arc.

Timelords? They're practically invincible in almost every stretch of the word. In a duel one Timelord could clear out all 3 Egyptian Gods at the same time. Zushin was said to be on the same level as the Egyptian Gods.

That's true, but they're not the easiest monsters to summon. Well, unless you're Kaiba and you get that broken first hand he got against Yugi in the semi-finals of BC. Anyone but Yugi would've been owned by that bullshit. At least they're kept to a minimum beyond the BC arc to keep a fair playing field for anyone else, which is something the Orichalcos arc did very well by removing the Gods pretty much in the first episode.
I don't think the characters are invincible with the Gods, though. They still need to be summoned. Other characters can hold their own so long as the Gods aren't on the field.
