Man if Goku wasn't super strong his life would likely suck. Just a mountain boy with no skills or experience outside of hunting, exploring the wilderness and fighting.

Imagine him trying to get a job or do anything. He'd wanna just hunt but they'd make him do all this other shit.

Grandpa Gohan. Likely. Roshi taught him how to count past 11 though.

Goku's life didn't suck. He lived well and happy in the wilderness, hunting, fishing, praying to his dead Grandpa. Are you saying this kind of life sucks?

No, but it would suck once he met Bulma and ended up in the city. Take the uncontacted Amazonians and stick them in your city, see how they enjoy it.
What would he do for a living? Eat bugs? Who would employ a guy with a PL of 5, who never talked to humans and has no useful skills? Who would socialise with such a weirdo? It would be like aspergers but 5x worse.
If you have a kid go ahead and send them to the woods. Social services will throw your ass in jail.
