Why does all modern anime, and manga look the same?

Why does all Anime and manga look the same? What happened? Why do they all look so similar to one and another these days, it's incredibly dull when you're confronted with over a thousand different shows, and manga with the boring modern anime look. How did this happen?

Lack of creativity in the industry I guess, both in terms of art and story ideas, considering how repeating tired tropes and bandwagoning on fads is far more popular than in previous eras. Whilst each era has their own mainstream style, the percentage of exceptions/uniqueness is indeed lower than with most 20th Century titles.

The amount of anime originals being a lot higher, resulting in many studios essentially doing reskins of other works would also play a major part in it.

It is probably the same animation studios doing the animation.
Also they're probably trying to produce so much work that there's little time looking into different styles.

It doesn't really bother me though, as long as it looks good then i don't care.

That's why I don't watch animes from post 2000s onwards with exception of anime that started from pre 2000s but still continue today like Super or Conan.
