Why Does Goku Barley use Super saiyan 3?

So Goku Has Only used Super saiyan 3 On Dragon ball super when he was Battling Beerus For the first time and when he was training trunks. So Why does he only turn super saiyan 1 and 2 But not 3?

3 has such a severe stamina drain that it's not worth using. He can only maintain it while alive for a matter of minutes.

Its just an inferior form at this point. It has a lot more strain than 1 or 2, and aside from what Whis said at the U6&7 Tournament, Blue has been shown to be a better form all around.

Oh, but that's only if you lose the form, right? If you just sit around in it I don't think it's implied to be too draining.

Is Blue ever suggested to have these effects in the anime? I recall Goku and Vegeta flipping between it and Base many times in the Black/Zamasu battle, yet they got stronger over time and not weaker lol.

SSJB doesn't drain in the anime. Goku also used SSjin3 in a filler episode against Freeza and Boo.

3 is a terrible form. He doesn't use it for the same reason Kaioken was discarded for so long. It drains more than Blue and has a smaller increase.

Goku did tell Hit he wasn't going to use Super Saiyan Blue right away so he can conserve his stamina, but my guess is the drain's very minor compared to something like Super Saiyan 3.

We should be asking why he doesn't use Super Saiyan 2 more often. It's a bigger boost than Super Saiyan 1, but with minimal strain compared to Super Saiyan 3, and it's still not as draining as Super Saiyan Blue.
