Yeah pretty much, it seems there's no contradiction between Super and EoZ except Vegeta not knowing Uub.

Goku is weaker than a guy who met his expectations - being Boo's reincarnate. Super reconned that in the first arc.

There's also the fact EoZ acts like Kid Boo was the de facto strongest enemy Goku fought, that no one afterward could make Goku excited/happy which is why Oob is such a big deal for him. Now that there are so many guys leagues above Boo, EoZ doesn't really work.
