Why Goku didn't train Gohan to transform into SSjin?

I'm talking about during their 3 years training before the arrivals of the Androids. Was it because Gohan was too young to learn it?

Because Goku wanted to take the credits for beating the Androids. Gohan was just being trained as the future
protector of Earth.

SSJ was a much bigger deal back then. Goku was surprised even a grown teenager like Trunks was able to transform, and everyone shat their pants when they saw Vegeta use the form.

Plus, Gohan could barely sustain the form for like a second when he achieved it. Goku probably thought he wasn't ready.

I'm sure Goku was trying his best. Gohan's base power was hardly stabilized or even remotely consistent until the 3 years.

Gohan was probably 8-9 years old during that training though.

I would say it's because Goku thought that the only way for Gohan to go super saiyan is by watching his friend die. He probably didn't realize yet that all you have to do is be put in a life or death situation. Or suffer tremendous emotional stress.

Considering how Trunks and Goku became Super Saiyans, it doesn't make sense for Goku to think Gohan could just become a Super Saiyan out of nowhere. Goku and Trunks only became Super Saiyans after being deeply emotionally stressed at the loss of their loved ones. Goku lost Krillen, his best friend and Trunks lost Gohan, his mentor, his older brother, his everything.

No that's false. Super Saiyan Trunks never fought Base Gohan. That's ridiculous. Trunks acquiring Super Saiyan at Gohan's death makes so much more sense.

Why doesn't that make sense? They were toying with him, just like they did with Trunks later. Trunks mentions he could fight ok against both of them later in the series and mentions how he had to fight two of them.

Look, I'm not really saying we have to accept the whole special, but for the part about Super Saiyan Trunks, I think it's much better.

The two androids were pretty much dancing circles around Trunks later in the special despite the statement about Trunks >= Gohan being retained, yet they showed visible effort against Gohan. That's fucking bullshit.

At that point in the story it didn't make much sense for him to. He wasn't strong at all. And at the time we didn't know that trunks was weak as shit when he first became a SSJ.
