At Early DB, it is stated that Kamehameha releases all dormant power. At DBZ, it is stated it focuses power on a
certain point. So, which statement is the right one? Both!
Below, I describe all kinds of KHHs...
-Normal KHH: As stated at Early DB, it releases all dormant power. This sounds like what real life martial arts
teach about punches and kicks (releasing all your strength in one hit).
No need to overcomplicate it, that's what the original KHH is. Instead of manifesting your full power in a punch
or kick, you do so in a blast. Normal KHH's 'power level' is equal to that of a fully charged physical blow; the reason
it is different from physical blows is that it is a blast that causes an explosion, thus damaging the foe more
effectively.
The reason Roshi's KHH is way more destructive than anything else is that Roshi's dormant power was way above
his useable power level and he accessed it only when buffing his muscles.
-Super KHH: Goku evolved KHH by 'focusing his power in a certain, tiny point' as Raditz would comment later.
This allowed him to produce blast amplification and, moreover, without the need to deplete his dormant power;
that's why Roshi was impressed that his stamina hadn't dropped after his beam struggle with Piccolo.
-Kaioken KHH: This is a normal KHH you fire after you multiply your dormant power with kaioken. It is essentially
kaioken amplification manifested in a blast.
-Yamcha's KHH: Now, one might ask, 'Duh, if the above are the case, why did Yamcha use wolf fang fist first and
save KHH as his trump card?' Well, the way I see it, WFF is a weak version of kaioken that increases speed only;
attack and defense remain the same (which is why he could match Tien at speed but was one shotted in the end).
