Would Goku let Semi Cell become Perfect Cell?

What's up with everybody misunderstanding the characteristic traits of Goku and/or Vegeta? No, Goku would not let him absorb Android 18, he would finish off the threat as soon as he could.

Well, Goku seemed pretty excited with the thought of fighting Perfect Cell. I think maybe he would be interested seeing how far would Perfect Cell's strength, since Semi Cell would be just an ant compared to post ROSAT Goku. It's not like Goku was not reckless before.

Goku wanted to fight Perfect Cell to test out his new abilities, but he planned on having Gohan defeat Cell the entire time. It's not the same as letting Semi Cell turn into his Perfect form, and putting everybody in jeopardy; at a time when he did not consider the same solution.

He only let Freeza achieve his full power because of the irony that Freeza would suffer at the defeat of a Saiyan.

If Goku had the power then, surely he would have finished Cell off for good.

Goku was also struggling with dealing with Super Saiyan on his first transformation, and the rage brought with it. He wanted Freeza to suffer. He matured in the form and by the Android arc, that rage was no longer present when he was a Super Saiyan.

He let Freeza achieve his full power AFTER his friends were out of the planet. And also, Namek was going to explode and Goku couldn't know that Freeza was capable of breathing in the space so it wouldn't make any difference for him, since both would die.
