Would Kami-sama die?

When Kami-sama was observing Piccolo's demeanor change from the lookout and noticing he wasn't as evil as before, he wondered whether Piccolo deciding to train Gohan has to do with him wishing to leave something to the world, even if such is Goku's son. And he then wondered whether Piccolo would be murdered first or he'd die first...

Does that mean he was already about to die of old age? But then, wasn't he still alive until the androids' arrival, which was like 5 years later?

Considering Namekians live for hundreds of years, being off by 5 or more years isn't a very big miscalculation.

Dunno, seems like a significant enough time to be off.

Kami was probably stressed about the Saiyans, so that might explain why he felt that way.

Super Kami Guru was also killed by stress, although it seems the lifespan reduced wasn't much.

Kami likely knew that with his aged body, he probably knew he wouldn't have too many years left. Besides, the point of the scene was to foreshadow Piccolo's death through Kami's premonition, with it being proven old age wasn't what would kill him.
