Osamu Tezuka's manga was also called Boku no Son-Goku also based on Journey to the West. And thinking about Goku's original design before AT changed it...wow just wow.

He couldn't even come-up with an original name that played-off the original name. He just used Osamu Tezuka's version.

Well he already copied/inspired by Superman's origin along with terminator story so it's not surprising really.

Son Goku is just the Japanese name of Sun Wukong, so I'd hardly call this or Wukong's iconic design as ripping off Tezuka, especially when the point about design only applies for the first draft and not the final product. The series in general was only meant to be a parody of Journey to the West too, so any elements heavily inspired by it could only be seen as plagiarism if they remained strong beyond the first arc, of which they didn't as such elements gradually faded in favour of Toriyama's own ideas.
