Yajirobe's power

Not sure about what Herms has here yet again, but Piccolo Daimao says that Tambourine is multiple times stronger than Cymbal. Yajirobe wasn't far ahead of Vymbal without his sword, yet Goku was able to kill Tambourine. Is Goku then multiple times ahead of Yajirobe? There seems to be a ton of stress on how durable/tough Yajirobe was, not necessarily how powerful.
