Most (if not all) think they got Old Piccolo beaten. But could you guys give good reasons?

Old Piccolo-Daimao became somewhat/kind-of irrelevant as soon as Piccolo-Daimao became Young and Goku powered-up. There was absolutely no comparison between the two. Huge, huge difference.

How would a fight between Old Piccolo-Daimao and his young version look? Exactly

Even the "lower" tiers of the main Tournament like Cyborg Tao and even probably Chaozu can defeat him. The gap is just too huge. Yamcha and Kuririn both got complimented by powers way beyond Old Piccolo-Daimao.

Well, we know that Yamcha and Krillin didn't have that much trouble following Goku and Tenshinhan at the start of their fight, and they were both moving as fast as the Goku who beat young Daimao. I gauge the gap between old and young Daimao by looking at the difference in their sons' power. Tambourine was fodder to Goku, but when Drum fought someone almost as strong as Goku it was the other way around. That's a pretty big gap between the two.

If Yamcha and Krillin can follow young Daimao's movements, there's no way old Daimao can win.

I think all one needs to do to answer this question is to ask themselves if old Piccolo could follow his young iteration's movements. I highly doubt it, considering that Piccolo described his power in his youth as being dimensions above that of his power while old.

I dunno Yamcha and Kuririn keeping up with Goku's speed implies they are ~ Young Daimao. Couldn't Roshi see Goku and Tenshinhan as well? Damnit, even Kuririn could see Goku and Cell at the Cell Games, and he's not even 1/100 of their powers.

They are supposed to be much stronger than Old Daimao, though. They are revelant for the plot, and Old Daimao turned into fodder the moment Piccolo got young. Also, Piccolo and Shen were surprised by their powers.

It's more like they were underestimating the Z fighters.

So is the gap between Chi-Chi and Piccolo-Daimao bigger than the gap between Master-Roshi and Cell-Games Goku? Probably an inconsistency.

When Tenshinhan and Goku started moving faster, Yamcha and Krillin couldn't see them anymore. That implies we're supposed to care that they could see them before.
