How strong were they during Nappa and Vegeta's arrival? We know the Saibaimans were 1,200 each and all of them were strong than that, but by how much? I don't think it's by a pretty high amount.

Yamcha 1,400
Ten between 1,800 and 2,200
Krilin minimum at 2,000 considering he wiped out 5 saibamen in a scattered attack that also hit Vegeta and Nappa

@p123

What do you think of the humans' power levels (vs Saibaimens)?

Haven't done the math in a while, but I like what Six Trails put up. Tien is always overrated in that fight imo. Guy is using tons of effort unlike other 1.5x gap fights.

Yamcha - 1,450
Krillin - 1,600
Tien - 1,750

Basically the Daizenshuu's numbers except a little lower.

How do you see Yamcha's dominance over the Saibaimen? 88% sounds right?

I don't know, he was fighting evenly with it, then used an afterimage to disappear. He doesn't have to be that much stronger and his Kamehameha didn't even finish the job. They looked to be around equals more or less to me, slight advantage to Yamcha, if that.

I didn't think Yamcha was much superior to the Saibaman either.

Nothing suggested he was. An after image doesn't suggest superiority. Krillen did the same thing to General Blue and caught him off guard. Yamcha was fighting evenly, uses an afterimage to use a ki amplification attack that hurts his opponent badly but does not finish him. So all in all, they are roughly equals from what I see. He is probably just as strong as Raditz.

The fight ended in a stalemate which indicates that they were nore or less equal. The saibaman couldn't beat Yamcha because it wasn't intelligent enough & Yamcha couldn't beat the saibaman because he wasn't competent enough. Lol

Hell, Vegeta even scolds the other Saibamen saying that he didn't go all out. So who knows. Equals is probably fine. Yamcha gets too much credit here. Tien also gets too much credit, he is not 1.5x stronger, Piccolo is the only one in that range in my estimation. That punch he lands on it looks devastating, whereas Tien's punch, is not nearly as bad, much different.

This is why I promote getting rid of all scouter numbers. We become indoctrinated with some of these scouter numbers that wouldn't hold up in the debating room. They just get in the way.

The fight was pretty quick though. After a brief hand to hand combat, Yamcha speedblitzed and KMHMH'd the Cultivar.

That also didn't seem like an afterimage. Note that an afterimage let an image behind (obviously), whereas in Yamcha's case no image was left. I think Yamcha was just too fast.

Goku's Kaioken x4 KMHMH also didn't finish Vegeta off (though Vegeta's durability is way greater), so I don't know if Yamcha's KMHMH not finishing the job indicates a small gap either.
