- Battle City era, taking place in the Kaiba Stadium instead of on the blimp.
- Standard anime rules/effects apply (4000LP and such). Bakura resets each round.

Can Bakura make it through the gauntlet? I'm interested to hear how y'all rate him.

Yami Bakura stomps Seeker and Strings with utter ease considering that Seeker's whole strategy is mass drawing cards and stalling, and not only is he apparently the least skilled of the Hunters but Bakura also has many cards for hand exchange and discarding shit. Strings also seemed relatively unimpressive without Slifer, so without a God he gets owned too most likely.

Arkana may be the more difficult one considering he has cards specifically for massive burn damage like Ectoplasmer and he had spell destroying cards, but considering Bakura's hype he should win this easy especially if he uses the deck destruction deck from Season 5 rather than the high risk high return Destiny Board deck from BC.

Noah is where it gets tricky because he seemed pretty evenly matched with Seto in skill, but since his deck has so many spirit monsters that can't even stay on the field very long I doubt Bakura won't be able to pull a Destiny Board combo when Noah's offenses sans Shinato are pretty lackluster. Gozaburo was a novice so he loses too.

Mai's Harpie's Feather Duster will probably be fatal to many of Bakura's combos that require certain cards to be on the field, but assuming that's restricted like it was in real life he should be able to manage. Joey and Odion also shouldn't be too difficult to beat when Odion has like one monster that's not just a trap monster and plot will probably allow Bakura to stop him from disrupting his DB combo and such.

From Seto Kaiba onward he probably loses except to Yami Marik who mostly won because of bad advice from the regular Marik and the weird obsession everyone had with controlling Ra. Not that I think Marik is a bad duelist, but excepting that filler part of his duel with Mai where he summoned Des Gardius he doesn't seem to focus on high level monsters too much due to how much he relies on repeatedly summoning Ra and strengthening it, and if Bakura dishes out Undead Lock a lot of Mariks cards become powerless (e.g. Helpoemer)

Do you think Bakura could take down Yugi if Yugi doesn't have Slifer in his deck? Their BC duel seemed to paint the picture that Bakura had Yugi beat until that point. But then that would mean Bakura is on par with Kaiba as well, which never seemed to be alluded to.

I think it is highly implied that Yugi would have lost if he hadn't drawn Slifer. Also, for what it's worth, Bakura was the technical winner at their anime Duelist Kingdom duel (with Change of Heart, he was about to take control of Dark Magician, attack one of the other Yugi's monsters and drop his LP to 0).
I guess Bakura and Kid Yugi are one tier higher than Atem/Kaiba (minus god cards).
