Well do ya do ya do ya wanna....

And will either Shiliew or Mihawk be Zoro's uktimate combat test? Or will he take on some non-swordsman? Someone out of the supernovas for example? A top captain, while Luffy takes out another. That'd be sick. Fuckin sick.

Don't see many people surpassing Mihawk. Shilliew not being one of the few.

So who's gonna allow Zoro to show that he's surpassed his teacher/Mihawk?

Mihawk himself. Maybe Shanks. Shillew won't be Yonkou level like Mihawk even with RoSAT.

Shilliew is only on par with Magellan. He may have gotten stronger over the time skip, but I don't see it being by too much.

I think if he was Admiral level, he would have fucked Luffy despite his help from Mr. 3.

Yeah he is. I am still sticking to the theory that Shilliew will get Jozu's fruit and kill Mihawk. Then Zoros final opponent to be the worlds best swordsman will be him. At the same time Shanks will be killed by Blackbeard.

Tbh, that could still mean quite a lot. Though Magellan's feats against Luffy were unimpressive, him believing Shiliew wouldn't be beaten easily by BB and his crew says a lot, even if we were to assume he underestimated the BB pirates. With what knowledge he had on the matter, I could see them being above Ace in power, or at least Jimbei level. Maybe Magellan was just a glass cannon due to how unused to being hit due to his poison he was?

Back to the OP, it all depends on whether or not the battle with the Blackbeard pirates occurs before or during the final stage of the Throne Wars. If before OP is found, then there's no chance of Shiliew even getting close to Mihawk's level, as it was implied in Thriller Bark that Zoro's dream will likely reached it's conclusion once Luffy has become the pirate king. If the conflict is during the final arc though and Teach becomes the final villain rather than Sakazuki, then Shiliew would likely have to surpass Mihawk.

I read a theory that Shillew has taken Jozu's diamond fruit and he'll use that to surprise attack and kill Mihawk. Thus leaving Shillew as the one Zoro needs to beat to become the strongest swordsman. There's a few issues I see with the theory, such as ruining the build up of Zoro vs Mihawk, but it's not completely improbable.

The theory does at least have merit in the progression of cutting power, as we've seen Zoro show or surpass the ability to cut through Steel (Daz Bones) and Rock (Pica), so cutting through diamond would likely be just as much an ultimate test for him to becoming the world's greatest swordsman. Mihawk showed at Marineford an inability to harm Jozu, at least with a single attack, so should Shiliew take Jozu's DF, it would make sense for him to be a greater challenge for a swordsman than Mihawk. Sure, it would ruin the build up of Mihawk VS Zoro, but it would make things a lot less predictable.
