Eh. It's hard to pick. A lot of people say the older style of playing is obsolete in the game nowadays but I think it'd still hold up. Yugi's deck seems to be able to handle just about any situations, if he manages to get Slifer on the field than I can see him winning this Fatal Four Way.

Jaden (Post Yubel) I assume you mean Season 4 Jaden. Jaden never really impressed me much until the 4th season when he finally was a bit more serious. The Neo Spacians were already an awesome combo but with Yubel he can bring out Neos Wiseman and can whip out Devine Neos. He fought well against Yugi in the GX finale but Yugi to me seem to have a counter for almost everything Jaden threw at him. Even though the ending is ambitious I'm still on the side believing Yugi won in the end.

Yusei out of every Yugioh Protagonist so far seems to have the most well balanced deck and like Yugi seems to have an answer for almost everything. However now that he has all of the Signer Dragons alongside pumped up versions of Stardust Dragon I can see him going head to head and beating Slifer so I think we have a winner here.

Yuma never impressed me... I think Yuya can beat him. So I'm going with Yusei on this one.

Yusei (Signer Dragons) > Yugi = Yusei > Jaden > Yuya > Yuma is what I go with usually.

Yugi is the King of Games for a reason. He can get himself out of any situation, or stalemate at least. Rafael was an anomaly, and Dartz was just fuckishly OP.

I didn't watch season 3-4 of GX so I don't know how much more OP Jaden got. He was already plot-protected to the max in the first couple seasons. I imagine with the power of Yubel he'd be godly, yet Yugi still beat him at the end. There was nothing he could do against Slifer, he was just attacking because.

Yusei impressed me a lot more than Jaden, but I stopped watching 5Ds early on because I hated the card games on motorcycles aspect of it, and I missed having Yugi and Kaiba around. Yusei seems like he's a lot more resourceful and genuine than Jaden.

I watched one episode of Zexal and gave up. The dub was disgustingly bad. I know nothing about Yuya and don't really care about him.

Yugi >= Yusei > Jaden >>>>>>>>> Yuya

If Yugi didn't have Slifer, he'd probably go down to Yusei.

Jaden was stupid to not simply end his battle phase considering that Slifer was special summoned

He wanted to go out with a bang against an Egyptian God Card, I guess.

I could agree with this but Yuma is not weak at all. At the end of the show he has all the number cards making him pretty broken. Also I think Yusei with out signers would be below Yugi. How about if this is Yugi with timaeus. Can he beat Signer Yusei then?

Yugi could make up whatever Fusion he wanted, then. He'd win.

Eh, Jaden didn't really seem much different deck wise to me in Season 3. Although after coming under possession of the Supreme King he began to use Evil Heroes and got his hands on Super Polymerization and Yubel at the end of the season. In Season 4 after he went through his DRASTIC personality change from a happy go lucky person into a take no shit adult he began to fuck around a lot less and immediately go for kills. Around this time this is where he mostly impressed me with a ton of support for Neos and his E-Heroes and didn't rely as much on plot convenience (although he did occasionally. Hell he could've lost to Chazz but his advisor told him to lose on purpose).

Yusei is definitely more impressive and resourceful than Jaden. He showed his resourcefulness in just about every duel he was in best cases I can think of are against: Z-One, Halldor, Team Unicorn, & Aporia. The Card Games on Motorcycles thing was a bit odd a first but I thought it was pretty cool and fun to watch. Yusei seems to rely more on skill than asspulls although he's had his fair share *Cough Cough* Jean & Kalin *Cough Cough*

Zexal I myself gave up on. It seemed like it saw how successful 5Ds was in being as dark as the original and tried to emulate the original with the main protagonist and his seemingly imaginary friend however rather than being a shy, soft spoken kid he has a lot of lol moments like Jaden.

I've only seen maybe a dozen episodes of Arc V and that was like 2 months ago and I've already forgotten.

I agree I can see Yusei beating Yugi without the Gods maybe. Hell he's beaten Earthbound Gods, Nordic Gods, Some ugly troll that's suppose to rival the Gods, and Time monsters so haxed people compare them to Dartz' insanely broken Orichalcos monsters.

On Kenshi

Agreed Slife would've gone back to the grave seeing as Yami revived him with Dark Renewal. If he would've drawn Monster Reborn than he would've beaten Jaden and given Yugi's history he has a tendacy of whipping out the winning card when backed into a corner although I don't know if you can say he struggled with Jaden.

On Epicnessbeyond

With Timeaus I'd see Yugi putting up a better fight for sure. All 3 Legendary Dragons were OP, Timeus alone would let Yugi summon a broken monster with an ability he makes up on the spot. But even with Timeaus against all 6 Signer Dragons + Amped Versions of Stardust Dragon I'd see Yusei winning still. However if Yugi has all 3 Legendary Dragons and Knights than this is going to be A LOT more interesting. 3 Monsters equally if not more broken than Dartz' Orichalcos monsters vs. The Signer Dragons. I can see this going either way or Yugi winning. I don't think Yusei has an answer for the Knight of Destiny. Without the Signer Dragons and just his own I'd see maybe beating Yugi. Without Stardust I can see Yugi winning.

I don't think anyone has an answer to the Knight of Destiny. It broke the 4th wall.

Deck wise, all of them are better than Yugi, since they have actual decks, whereas Yugi has just a pile of cards.
In a battle though, i guess Yugi would have to win, so he'd draw the exact cards he would need to do so.

In 5Ds which takes place who knows how long after the original series. Yugi is still seen as the very best like no one ever was.

As the series goes on, the decks become better and faster. Monsters have way better effects. Yuma or Yusei should realistically win.

Realistically. Yusei takes this.

Plot/Heart of the Cards wise. No one is making it to Yugi's level, no matter what cards or what deck they play.

I actually have a change of opinion. At first I thought its between Yusei and Yugi but now I think Yuma has far more than a chance. With the abilities of Zexal, Yuma is pretty unfair. He has his own heart of the cards Atem cheating ability. On top of that with Re-contract Universe he can pretty much change the card he drew and create a completely new one. On top of that he has every single number card and cards like F0: Utopic Future, S0: Hope Zexal, Number 99: Utopia Dragon, Number 100: Numeron Dragon, and Number S39 Utopia Roots. With everything factored in Yuma has a good chance of winning
